POLYGODS arrived on Matic — Our Vision & Roadmap
In a world where abuse of power by central authorities cannot be avoided, alternatives are absolutely necessary. We believe that decentralization contributes to this, especially since several parties or participants bear some responsibility. Nevertheless, there are countries where minorities or oppositions are suppressed and only a behavior in anonymity makes action possible.
Especially in the crypto world anonymity plays an important role which leads to the fact that people are valued and have influence even without a clear name. The problem, however, is the form of anonymity that can only be represented by followers on social media and content. Censorship by social media and many other circumstances can lead to a person losing their hard-won position as an influencer.
We think non-fungible tokens are a great solution to change this and plan to map a transparent imprint of an anonymous person on the blockchain.
Polygods NFTs are not only digital artworks but access cards to multiple perks or benefits and verify the owner as a personality of a unique crypto community.
We are very excited to present you more behind this idea and will release 72 gods that will be distributed to unique personalities who will be incentivized to continue developing the crypto world.
What are the features of Polygods NFT?
NFTs are so far only used on secondary marketplaces to trade digitally signed artworks, but there is actually much more to it than that. NFTs can also be used as a key to a certain service or authorizes access to a perk.
Polygods acts as a decentralized community that recognizes the value of new projects and tries to bring them further to adoption. Altruism, while a major factor in why most start out in the crypto world, stops thereafter when you want to devote yourself full time to a project or need to make a living. We believe that our NFTs are the next step in a fair incentivization of contribution.
Aspirants of a Polygod NFT incentivized through the principles of our $GODS token will push projects that are releasing airdrops on our platform and act as contributors. This can happen in the form of code, marketing, design or similar.
Furthermore, projects can add authorization requests for certain perks of their services which will be granted after Polygods NFT ownership has been proven. We will explain how this works very soon in our litepaper.
In the same way that whales can manipulate cryptocurrency prices, setting up perks for Polygods will activate their networks and create a positive effect that will mark the first success for a project and help them get the recognition they deserve.
How can I become a Polygod and what will I get?
Becoming a Polygod brings certain benefits and raises your standing in new or even existing communities.
Requirements can be:
- Staking $GODS LP- Token for various months
- Contributing through various ways (creating marketing materials, designs, helping the communities by curating social media channels, github contribution to codebase, etc.)
While contributing to the Polygods community is one of the major requirements to climb the upper ranks, some of the God NFTs are also going to be distributed through our NFT-Ritual-Auction Event were the NFT will be sold to the highest bidder via an auction on OpeanSea. The proceeds will be burned 100% in $GODS token.
We know that this is not the best implementation and are already working on an internal auction process that directly burns the highest proceeds transparently via a smart contract procedure.
Once chosen as a god, you can expect the following:
- A NFT with your own God Character that verifies you as a Polygod and gives you certain perks or benefits in new or existing projects.
- A place on our website in the Hall of Fame/Gods with a profile about you and ways to reach out to you
- Increased Polygod rewards on future airdrops
- Pluggable Reputating that distinguishes you for the fact that your knowledge and Skillset can be valuable for projects
- Get Access to our Job Listing Market hiring talents that are Polygods
Polygods can sell their NFTs in the future on our Marketplace, but this implies that they are considered as fallen gods who have lost their powers and thus get a bad reputation. The incentive to buy the NFT as an investor is the benefits that such respective NFTs bring.
Governance
In order to be transparent and fair in every way, we are planning a governance system that appoints future gods and participates in project decisions.
We do not believe that governance systems work solely as a buy-in model and would therefore also like to integrate our NFT owners into the governance which are solely reflected by their skillset, knowledge and reputation in our crypto community.
